La Bastide du Cèdre: luxury estate in the heart of the Roussillon vineyards
Nestled among century-old vines, Mediterranean light and the scents of wild garrigue, La Bastide du Cèdre is a discreet luxury retreat where French elegance meets the raw beauty of Catalan nature. Designed as a private sanctuary, it welcomes up to 10 guests in an atmosphere of absolute calm, noble materials and refined art de vivre.
Here, you don’t simply stay — you inhabit a place and a territory.
The spirit of the place
Built on the heights of Tresserre, just steps from the village of Vives, La Bastide du Cèdre overlooks a vibrant landscape: a mosaic of vineyards, ochre hills, terracotta roofs and, in the distance, the bluish line of the Pyrenees. On clear days, the view stretches all the way to the sea.
The architecture blends stone, mineral finishes, textured wood and warm earthy tones — an homage to the Roussillon region. At the center of the garden, a century-old cedar tree gives the home its name and verticality. Every space is conceived with intention: open-plan living room, convivial kitchen, large bay windows, west-facing terrace, heated pool bordered by wood and a fully private garden.
Architecture, design & atmosphere
Inside, the Bastide embraces simple lines and open perspectives. A palette of natural tones — linen, sand, raw wood, light stone — lets the surrounding landscape take center stage. Carefully selected furniture blends contemporary pieces, tactile materials and artisanal details to create an atmosphere that is both refined and warm.
By day, the house opens widely onto the garden, the pool and the vineyards. By night, it becomes a luminous cocoon hosting terrace aperitifs, long dinners and starry skies free of light pollution.
